This tachometer probe is ideal for electric motor maintenance. Measurement is performed by photo-reflection, allowing no-contact measurement: a reflective strip is positioned on the rotating part to be checked. The probe converts the rotation speed into voltage pulses on 2 x 4 mm isolated banana plugs.
To take a measurement, the CA 1711 probe must be hooked up to a CA 8220 power analyser. The switch should be on RPM. The motor's rotation speed will then be displayed directly.
